Beteh duwangan magbagey beteh si Maria maka si Amina. Si Amina tutu sih ngahakah sidja iyan-iyan nowwah ma iya tag si Maria. Iyan sab hinang si Maria? Pangahakah eh na tag aa anu bey bissala si Amina. Pag katoonan pin eh si Amina, ya ling-na, "Oy! Kannal ku koh tapangandolan kow, hati ba aku tutu siya-siya!"
Like [there are] two friends like Maria and Amina. This Amina always tells everything that happens to her to Maria. What does Maria do? Whatever Amina told [her] is habitually told to others by her. When [this] is becoming known by Amina, what she says, "Oh! I certainly thought you could be trusted, meaning this me is betrayed!"
Like there are these two friends, say, Maria and Amina. Now, Amina always confides to Maria everything that happens to her. But Maria betrays Aminas confidences by telling everyone else. When Amina becomes aware of this, she tells Maria, "Oh! I thought that you could be trusted, but, woe is me, I am betrayed!"
