This adverbial time particle indicates repetition or continuation of an event or condition up to a time implied or indicated. It is frequently indicated by the English progressive "-ing". Pin seems to appear frequently in the active voice, but very seldom in the agentive. See the discussion under "Sama Time Particles and Constructions" in the "Grammar Notes".

Literally, "being already intended". This phrase indicates opposition to some situation or condition. It may also indicate the inevitable, the foreordained.
Tuud na pin, ley labuh, agak-agak na eh na naguh iya.
Being already intended, [it] fell, [even though] it was placed by him so carefully.
It fell anyway, even though he was so careful in placing it.
Ya na ba! Ya illag ku tag anak ili, tuud na pin, ley sakki!
What now! What I avoided for that child, being already intended, was sickness!
That is the very thing I avoided for that child, [but] he got sick anyway!
