‘sea’ choppy; rippled water.
Choppy sea conditions can be due to a rip tide or strong wind.
Balumbang katah-katah bang magsampang balimbang maka baliyu. Na, minjari padikih-dikih na balumbang tutu, maka beteh amot usik, ya na piligru ma baanan boggoh.
Choppy waves are when wave and wind meet. Now then, [when] these waves become small now, and move rapidly, those now are dangerous to the canoes.

‘hair’ frizzy.
Frizzy or wooly hair is considered ugly.
Dalowa katah-katah bukok-na.
Her hair appears frizzy.
