A sound; a tune (without words).
Hāp lugu'nen bang magmawulud.
His sound is good when he sings mawulud.
Lugu' magtangis ke takaleku miya'an?
Is it the sound of crying that I hear?
Bang nangis si Neneng pa'inte, da'a ne pataha'un lugu'nun.
When Neneng cries we say don’t make your sound long (i.e. don’t keep whining).

To sing; to chant.
Used of tunes with no words or few words like in the singing of sa'il and mawulud.
A'ahin maglugu' diyata' luma'.
The person sings in the house.
A'a iyan bang ngalugu' hāp manamal suwalanen.
When that person sings her voice is very good.
Lugu'un hadja kanta iyan.
Sing (or hum) just the tune of that song.

To hum, sing (a tune with soft voice, usually to oneself only).
A'a miya'an maglugu'-lugu' ne hadja diyata' luma' pegge' ga' niya' sawe'-sawe'ne.
That person just hums in the house because he does not have a companion.
