agung
Large brass gong.
Formerly gongs were used for giving a variety of signals such as announcing a death or a wedding, or to summon people for a meeting. They are still extensively used to announce an approaching bridal party. They are also played in a gong ensemble for entertainment. Gongs made of iron have a high and loud but pleasant sound. They are valued more than brass gongs.
Bang magbo'o pangantin subey niya' duwe agung tinitik.
If a bride is taken (to the place of the wedding) there should be two gongs being beaten.
