(Esp. for a child) to be or become upset and get sick. (Some people believe this is because a child is spanked, shamed, or not given what he wants).

Duwanun oy-oy paku anak nu mari ya' tarawom.

Give your child whatever he asks for so he won't be upset.

Daa tarawom nu.

A polite expression meaning something like "Please" or "Excuse me," (lit. don't be upset). This is said to people younger than or about the same age as the speaker.

Daa tarawom nu, songan te' pinsil naa.

Excuse me, hand me that pencil please.
