A person having the same name as someone else.
People with the same name refer to each other and address each other as one's sangay because it is a Mapun custom not to mention one's own name.
Si Elik luu sangay na jama Tandoan.
There is a person in Tandoan who has the same name as Elik.

To address or refer to s.o. as having the same name.
Ngkon ku magsangay ni lalla looy sabap sibu' awon kami.
The reason I address that man as "Sangay" is because we have the same name.
