A collective group of old people.

When old people listen to the words at a courtship dance, their desire is that metaphorical speech be used.

matatoa

A term of address or reference to one's spouse. This is used jokingly because it can be loosely translated as "old lady" or "old man". [This is often shortened to "mas".]
