Tulak Balah
a ritual bath to drive away calamity.
In Tulak Balah , people gather on the beach together with an imam Muslim religious leader, who pours water three times on each person. As the imam comes to each individual, the person kneels to have the water poured on him. After receiving the water, each person throws a stone into the sea, the stone representing a person's sins. The purification ritual is performed to allay misfortune. A similar ritual is also found in the religion of Judaism.
