Decorations (made of coconut leaflets for the Mawulud celebration).
The leaflets are cut, twisted or woven into beautiful shapes such as curls, braids, birds, fish, shrimp, etc. At the Mawulud celebration each person brings one such decoration and all of them are stuck into a banana trunk provided for this purpose. They are said to be buwa'-buwa' nabi - playthings (or decorations) for the prophet.
