sa'at
Omen.
One waits until one hears or sees something that guides one in making a decision. For example if one hears the sound of a house lizard, it is a good omen and one can proceed with what one was going to do. If one hears crying or talking about death it is a bad omen.
Gey iye lumengngan bang ga'i hāp sa'atnen.
He does not go out if his omen is not good.
Ga' ku pala'us ngeddek ellew inin pegge' ga'i hāp sa'atnen; niya' taginepku gey hāp.
I will not proceed to plant rice today because the omen is not good; I dreamt something bad.
Ga' ku dahu' duwa'i pegge' ngagad sa'at hāp ku.
I am not going out yet because I am waiting for a good omen.
