The recess or niche in the side of a (Muslim) grave (where the dead body is laid).
A grave is dug in the shape of a half circle (approximately). In the straight side (the diameter of the circle) a niche is dug near the floor, sufficient in length, width and height to receive the body. The niche is closed off with boards dinding hali before the grave is filled in. This prevents any dirt from falling directly onto the body.
The niche of his grave is wide.
