To give too much attention to a child, to pamper, spoil.
It is usually used of parents or grandparents if they show much affection such as hugging the child, kissing, letting him jump on their knees, taking him on the arm, giving whatever he asks.
That child was given too much attention by his mother; that’s why he is spoiled.
Sakakun malangga' anakne te'ed.
My older sister gives far too much attention to her child.
