A diviner (mang-) divines for something stolen (-en).
The diviner lists the names of the suspects on a piece of paper and then burns it. The ashes are smeared on a surface and, supposedly, the name of the thief appears. Oil can also be smeared on a guava leaf. The shape of the oil reveals the picture or name of the thief.
