The brewing process for glutinous rice, daya''ot, includes pounding, bāyu; roasting, hanglag; cooking, hāang; sprinkling on yeast, īpu; and putting the rice into a rice-fermenting basket, gamāta, taggi'i. The basket is then set aside for about three to five days to allow for the fermentation process, pogot. Millet, hābug, and sorghum, gal'ung, are optionally roasted; they and manioc, kāhuy, are cooked, sprinkled with yeast, and put directly into a wine jar, tibung, to ferment.
For someone (agent) to use glutinous rice, millet, manioc, or sorghum (inst i-) for brewing beer, as described above.
