Illo'ah, Inlo'ah
A woman's informal mourning name.
Used during a one to four month informal mourning period in addressing a woman whose husband has died. This period immediately follows the formal mourning period, bālu 2. During this period, she may bathe and she does not wear a hood and rattan bands, but she must wear ragged clothing. This follows a formal one year mourning period during which she is called Imbālu.

For a widow (agent muɴ-) to observe an informal mourning period after the hood and rattan bands, bālu 1, have been removed at the end of a year, as described above.
