An invitational chant, calling the spirit Būlul and his wife Būgan an hi Imbūlul to join in drinking rice beer with ritualists, mumbā'i, performing the ritual.
Būlul and his wife are called to several successive stations, beginning at Downriver, Lāgud, and ending at Batad. The spirits are called by reciting a chant until they reach the first station. While they rest, a chant is sung, followed by another recitation, and so forth. Upon arrival, the spirits are invited to drink rice beer with the ritualists. During the amah ritual, performed the evening commencing the post-transplanting holiday season, ulpi, Būgan an hi Imbūlul is invited to accompany the wife of the one sponsoring the event to their ritual pond fields, to join in field day, pītaw, activities and especially to help plant the ritual markers, ludho', in the fields. Invitational chanting is engaged in as additions to amah and hapālit sub-rituals.
