English. A tool designed to cut grain or grass, sickle.

Cultural Note. The tool is a wood dowel ca. 1 cm. thick held in one's fist with a steel blade up to 7 cm. long mounted perpendicular to the
dowel in its middle. Holding the dowel with one's thumb, one grabs a fistfull of rice stalks which are severed as one closes
the fiingers onto the dowel.
