ta
1.
we; us; first person dual; I.
Because of sociolinguistic reasons, this clitic set 2 pronoun is not suffixed to its verb as would be expected. When following verbs, ta is the nonfocused actor, and is translated as "we" or "I". Ta can be translated as "I" when used in an "I -- you", dual context. When ta follows the prepositions eh or tag , it is translated as "us". Ta can be used when the speaker refers himself and to a group as a unit as in the second example below. It also imparts a more intimate feeling. See the discussions in the "Grammar Notes" and "Orthography Notes".
