‘prefix’ a verbal distributive prefix.
This prefix indicates an action distributed over more than one object, and/or distributed over time or quantity. In the distributive
aspect, it indicates the object and the instrument focuses in the active voice, and, with the addition of the suffix +-an/-han
, it also indicates locative/temporal focus. See the discussion in the "Grammar Notes". When pag- is affixed to a stem which begins with a vowel, for correct pronunciation, a hyphen should be inserted between pag- and the stem.
