prefix which derives gerund-like constructions from verbs.
In these constructions, eh or eh plus pronoun or noun precedes the ngang- verb. In some constructions, the prefix ngang- plus its verb is the referent of ya "what, that which". These constructions can be translated with an English gerund. In constructions with two contiguous actor
focus verbs, one or both may be translated with an English gerund. If only one of the verbs is translated with a gerund, it
will be the second verb. As in ngang- 1 above, ngang- 2 is a manifestation of the morphophoneme N- prefix which replaces the initial g of stems that begin with g . See the verbal affix section of the "Grammar Notes".
The person replacing is [worse] than the person replaced.
