A charm to make camote and corn grow well.
When planting camote one puts eggshells, a stump or a root of a tree (that grew in the trail causing people to stumble) and sometimes also some rubbish in with the first roots planted. This is done in order to make the outside of the growing fruit smooth like an egg and big and plentiful so that people will stumble over it as over the root on the trail. The rubbish is to assure that the fruit of the field will never stop being there. In planting maize a person carries a big bottle under the arm so that the ears will grow that big. No incantation tawal is involved.
