A condition or state people are in that causes them to be prone to disaster.
This condition prevents a married couple from having children that live long. It also prevents a child from having younger siblings that live long. The prescribed cure for it is to have a ceremony langgit where the pasu' person is pricked with a grain of unhusked rice or a needle to draw a little blood. A little boy with a bad case of TB was said to be pasu' because his two younger siblings had died early. Houses where people often get sick, or buses can be pasu' too, anything that is prone to disaster.
None of her children lived because she is pasu'.
