paka
Midrib of a palm leaf; strips of the midrib (used as rope).
It is called paka when it is still attached to the tree. When it falls down it is peyipa'. The top part of the midrib or a strip of it is sometimes cut off and used as rope.
Hadje isab paka lahing iyan.
The midrib of that coconut (leaf) is big.
