A small leafy plant.
Kaempferia galanga
A small herb with leaves growing from a tuberous, aromatic rootstock, pinkish flowers. The leaves are about 7 to 15 cm long. In old times it was used as a ‘perfume’. The sprouts are squashed and placed on the soft spot of babies as medicine for cold.
