gām

Good; good (about one’s situation); to be well off.
Gām pe kew nuhut aku.
It is good if you come with me.
Gām du ka'u, hāp ne lessanu.
It is good for you; you feel well now.
Gām du iye, ekka semmekne.
He is well-off; he has many clothes.

gām-gām
To be better (of any situation, but not really good or well yet).
Bakas saki iye, gām-gām ne kuwe'itu.
He was sick; he is better (fairly well) now.
pagām-gām
To get better (of sickness only).
Pagām-gām ne sakinen, sōng kole' ne iye.
His sickness is getting better; he will soon be well.

kagām-gāman
To be better off (of living situation).
Bakas iye kasigpitan, kuwe'itu kagām-gāman pegge' niya' ne sīnne.
He was in difficulties; now he is better off because now he has money.
