To stand or prop up s.t. (by supporting the weight of the object with s.t. that is connected to the object such as a kickstand on a motorcycle, one's extended arm and hand acting as a stand when leaning one's body weight slightly to the side, etc.).
The -an is used when trying to see if s.t. will support the weight of s.t.
Patukorun motor nu ta' samintu naa.
Stand your motorcycle on top of that cement.
Daa ko patukod ta' lammisahan naa sabap ya' pagon.
Don't support your weight (with your hand) on that table because it isn't well-made.
