suba'
A test (of one's faith, bravery, love, devotion, righteousness); a temptation to go against what one has been taught. [Sometimes subaan is used interchangeably with suba' as a noun].
In certain contexts -an is added.
Jama ngadji' ni Koraan bong tuwa' suba', niya' doman ngadji'.
When a person who studies the Koran is overcome by temptation, he doesn't want to study.
Soysoy bay kapatoyan, disu subaan njata' na.
Whoever has experienced a death in his family, that is a test (of his faith).
