To attempt or guess how to do s.t. (Has the idea of doing s.t. in the dark without really knowing what one is doing.)
Mag- and N- prefixes seem to be interchangeable. The -un imp. seems to focus on s.t. seen that you are trying to take a chance with as standing up to a bigger person in a fight. The -an imp. focuses on taking a chance or guessing with s.t. not immediately posing a threat to you.
