Other activities: drying, lāngu; burning, pūul; cleaning, hīgid 2; and planting, tanom 3. Usually either grassland, mapulun, or caneland, mabilāu, are made into upland fields. Forests, inalāhan, and old, unproductive woodlots, pinūgu, are used when necessity demands it.
