A hindquarter of a butchered animal, minus the lower backbone, bang'ūgu; the drumstick of a butchered fowl.
This is a secondary cut, gōgod, in butchering. Two hindquarters of an animal result from cutting out the lower backbone, bang'ūgu, from a lower carcass, nun'ekom. It includes the rump, alakan; butt, ngomngom; shin, te'leng; and foot, hu'i 1b, portions. The drumstick of a fowl is the fleshy part immediately below the thigh. It results from cutting off the thigh, pota, and foot, hu'i, of the thigh and leg cut, nuntannung.
