First-fruits harvest season, before the general harvest of the main crop, tiniyalgaw, begins.
It occurs at the beginning of the harvest season for main-crop rice, īwang di tiniyalgaw, and lasts for about ten days. This initial harvest provides rice for making rice beer and food to be used during the main harvest. First fruits harvest season is initiated, gūtang, by the village agricultural head, haldot, whose fields only may be harvested, udol 2, the first day. The second and succeeding days, anyone with fields with ripe grain may harvest first fruits. This season is terminated by a first-fruits harvest holiday, oldang 1.

For the owner of a field, a harvester (agent) to reap rice (theme -on) from growing rice, a field (loc ref -on) with the use of a harvest knife, uwah, gamulang (inst i-, paN-).
