tūlang
One's extended blood relative.
Tūlang'u hi Bāyaw ti apun Innāwan ami.
Bāyaw is my relative because we are (both) descendants of Innāwan.
Occurs optionally as either a personal or impersonal noun.
Inah'ūpan Bukkāhan han tūlangnah ad Bannāwol.
Bukkāhan came upon a relative of his in Banaue.
Ad tawōnad ya natoy hi tūlang Limāngan.
Last year the relative of Limāngan died.
Extended blood relatives are those who share with one a blood relationship to a common ancestral head. They thus belong to the same clan, himpangapu, to which one belongs. Excluded, however, are one's parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc., uncles and aunts with their offspring, and granduncles and grandaunts.
