A blessing-ritual reliquary.
This reliquary is used during transplanting and harvest rituals, rituals for making a new pond field, for general blessing rituals, pāhang, etc. The following items are kept in the container: blood-smeared rice panicles used in sacrificial rituals, blood dripped from a sacrificed chicken, betel nuts, leaves and lime in a small lime container for betel chewing by spirits, a small drinking bowl for rice beer offered to spirits. This reliquary is owned by rich people. Some reliquaries are square, from 15 - 25 cm. and 15 cm. deep, made of rattan, with a lid. Others are rectangular, up to 25 cm. by 15 cm. and 15 cm. deep, made of wood with a wooden lid and a handle at each end that curves down like a tail.
