A pair of pond-field ritual markers.
On field day, when the completion of rice transplanting is celebrated, pītaw 2, four or more feathers of a sacrificed chicken are stuck along the base of the blades of two arrow-grass canes, bilāu, which are then planted in a designated spot, punludho'an, near the dike of the family ritual field, puntonā'an, in each agricultural sub-district, hintumnong, where the family has sizeable pond-field holdings. This pair of markers indicates that a chicken has been sacrificed on the dike of this field.
