A climbing vine grown on stakes in upland fields, on pond-field dikes in vegetation mounds, pen'ol, or in other fertile locations. Varieties: ītab hi lawang, rainy-season hyacinth bean, ītab hi tiyalgaw, mutnin an polda dry-season hyacinth bean.
