A linking ligature indicating a modifying relationship between a person or thing and that which modifies it.
An adjective ligature may be followed by: 1) A verb or verb phrase. hi2 is usually translated `who' or `which'.
Pinatoyday lāman hi immuy hi payawda.
They killed the wild pig which went to their pond field.
Nalādaw din binabāih immuy nunggābut.
Those women who went to weed were late.
2) An adjective.
Ngināa' di lūbung'u|bh maphod.
I will buy a nice shirt for me.
This is a minor use of hi2. A phrase introduced by hi2 modifies a noun, noun phrase or a verbal substantive.
Immēet di binabāih nangīnga.
The women who collected aquatic food came home.
Immūgong din timma'dog hi mangulgud hi +āat di tinnigna.
That one who stood up who was to relate about what she had seen was silent.
