An accompanying percussion instrument, either a gong, gangha, or a stringed percussion instrument, teddeng, played along with a lead percussion instrument, tabob 1a, in playing a synchronized rhythm, tabob 2b.
There are from one to three accompanying gongs, each playing rhythms synchronizing with the lead gong: hebat 2a, first accompanying gong; wohhot 1, second accompanying gong; atlun di hebat, third accompanying gong. There are one or two accompanying stringed percussion instruments; the first plays the first and second accompanying rhythm, the second plays the third accompanying rhythm. An accompanying percussion instrument is played with a percussion stick, hebat 1b.
