A brook; a large drainage ditch for a pond-field area.
A brook is a small gorge which carries runoff water from springs higher up, and from rains. Large drainage ditches which carry runoff water from rains generally follow natural brook formations and are constructed in pond-field areas with rock floors, dalipay, and walls. In the Batad area they measure up to 2 m. across the floor with walls up to 2« m. high.
