A marriage-blessing ritual, performed as a major blessing ritual, pāhang, for a newly-married couple.
Duway bābuy di impāhang Habbēleng hi duyduyahdan himbaluy.
Habbēleng used two pigs to perform a major blessing ritual which was the marriage-blessing ritual of his wife and himself.
This ritual is performed about a year after a couple has established a home. After another year or two this ritual is `paired' with another, alagwang di duyduyah which is a second pāhang ritual. This ritual is for a poor couple or one with modest means; rich couples have a more elaborate ritual, īpad 1. For a description of the procedure for this ritual, see pāhang.
