A hog-carrying rack.
The pig is tied to the rack and carried on the shoulder with the rack nearest the carrier's face. There are two kinds. One is built like a fence with two poles positioned parallel to each other, one larger than the other. Three smaller poles are tied in a position transverse to them, and to them are tied bamboo slats parallel with the two larger poles. The largest pole rests on the carrier's shoulder. A second kind is made from a branched tree from which is selected a stout Y piece. Rattan, uway; cord, talin; or vine, wa'al; is wound and fastened securely around the upper branches of the Y forming a cradle onto which the pig is tied.
