For someone (agent muɴ-; s agent maN-) to shout a magical utterance (theme) at a portentous dream (loc ref -an) as protection from its consequences.
A portentous dream may be (e.g., of a burning house), which forecasts a death in the family. This is counteracted by setting fire momentarily to the roof of the family house and shouting a magical utterance during a sacrifice of pigs, pāhang. Another example is to dream of killing a pig which portends a death of a son or daughter. During the sacrifice of pigs, a ritualist, mumbā'i, squats in the doorway of the family house and shouts a magical utterance, joined in a chorus by others present.
