tag1 Variant taga adv English This word is used in conjunction with numbers meaning to do s.t. to the object in groups of however many the number dictates (as swallowing pills two at a time, counting s.t. five at a time, etc.). If the number is reduplicated the “so many at a time” refers to the number of people performing the action, (as in walking two by two). The variant form, taga, is used when the number is one. Example sentence Tagbanwa Taga sangbat i telen. English One at a time is the dose. Example sentence Tagbanwa Tag duwa i telen. English Two at a time is the dose. Example sentence Tagbanwa Tag duwa-duwa i panaw nira. English They walked two at a time.
