Cultural Note Eating from the same plate is considered bad between male and female who are not married, even children. At the wedding celebration,
after invoking the diwata spirits, the couple is given a plate of food which they proceed to eat together. This should be the first time they have
eaten from the same plate as someone of the opposite sex, except maybe when they were very small children. This puts the mark
of married on them.
n
pagsadu
