‘food’ rambutan fruit
+Nephelium lappaceum L. .
A rambutan is egg-shaped, about two inches long, red when ripe or yellow types, with many hair-like projections. The inside
is white and is like a litchi nut. The nut-like seeds can be eaten with the flesh of the fruit. Rambutan does not grow on the small coral islands of the Sulu Sea area, but it may grow on the larger islands.
