Sitangkay Dakulah
/si.TANG.key da.KU.lah, si.TANG.kay da.KU.lah/
Sitangkai Daculah
an island municipality.
The variation is the English spelling found on some maps. Sitangkai is situated on a tiny island, Sitangkai Daculah, at the
south-eastern tip of Tumindao Island, which is the island across from Sibutuh Island. It used to be the seat of municipal
government for the Sibutuh Island group. The main post office for this group is still there. The dense population is about
8,000, a mixture of Tausug, Chinese, land Samal, and Sama Badjaw people. It is called by some, "Venice of the Philippines".
There is another small island right next to Sitangkai Daculah, which is called Sitangkai Asibih.
