It is thought that this ghost can appear in different places while the person, whose ghost it is supposed to be, is asleep.
The reason for this condition is thought to be wickedness in an affected individual; the condition may be cured by the individual
repenting and admitting that he is indeed a "living ghost", and then having a ritual performed by the Muslim imam . It is further thought that a person who knows of misconduct by a close relative and does nothing about it, can also become
a "living ghost". An example is a couple who are have premarital sex, and one of the parents knows about it, but does nothing.
However, if the parent insists on a wedding, everybody will be cured.
