kamat
‘religion’ baby naming ceremony.
When a baby is named, an imam is called to perform the ceremony. As the newborn is named a bit of honey or sugar is put on his lips so that his name will be sweet to him. Besides the "outer" name given to the baby, a secret name is repeated in the baby's ear, one for which he will have to look when he grows up.
