The flesh inside the kalamansi is orange color. The sour little kalamansi is known throughout the Philippines by this name. When it is slightly sweetened with sugar and added to cold water, it makes a refreshing lemonade substitute. It is used in cooking and as a condiment. When available, the kalamansi , are served with papaya and also with fish. They are also used with sand to polish brass. They grow all over the Philippines.
