‘insecticide’ DDT, a colorless insecticide.
This word is adopted from the English abbreviation for "dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane". This product is used by the government to kill mosquitos which carry malaria. Unfortunately, this toxic chemical can be absorbed through the skin, and has killed and permanently harmed many cats and other animals on the islands.
